Police Release Name of Man Found in Kanawha River

SOUTH CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- South Charleston Police have released the identity of a man whose body was found in the Kanawha River last week.

Detectives say they believe Anton Dale Musick, 72, is the man whose body was discovered last Wednesday.

Musick had been reported missing by Charleston Police April 14th.

Police say the condition of his body suggests that there was no foul play.

Because of the body's deterioration, the medical examiner will have to use long-term methods to positively identify it.

Detectives say they have not been able to locate Musick's family. Out of their respect is why they waited a week to release his name.
