LINCOLN COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Six people were arrested Saturday night in a major meth bust within the home of a convicted felon.
Deputies say Martin WIlliamson lived at the home along Scites Road. They were called there on complaints that he was illegally keeping firearms.
They didn't find any guns there, but they did find an active meth lab.
WIlliamson, Demeda Beckett, Jennifer Porter, Daniel Geiger, William Salmons and Denise Jeffers were taken into custody. Deputies say they were all actively buying meth supplies and manufacturing the drug.
Sheriff Ken Farley says they're part of a growing meth problem in Lincoln County.
"It's more than I even like to think about," he said. "It's time-consuming and takes patience. We will continue working hard and trying to get a hold of it ... we will not tolerate drugs and meth in Lincoln County."
Porter was charged with attempted murder in the past. Deputies say she was just three weeks out of jail after serving time in connection with the beating of Sara Boggs in 2010.
