UPDATE: I-79 Reopens in Kanawha County after Tractor-Trailer Rollover

KANAWHA COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- I-79 in Kanawha County has reopened after a tractor-trailer hauling vegetables crashed and overturned Wednesday.

The crash happened about 1:45 p.m. Wednesday near the Elkview exit, which is near the 11-mile marker.

The northbound fast lane was closed, but has reopened.

No one was hurt in the crash.

According to the Kanawha County Sheriff's Department, the truck was traveling south on I-79 when it went off the roadway to the right, then left across both lanes and into the median where it overturned and came to a stop.

The driver told deputies the truck shifted before he lost control. The truck was removed from the highway, and the roadway was reopened shortly before 3 p.m.
