CULLODEN, W.Va. (AP) - West Virginia State Police troopers cited 23 drivers during a crackdown on speeding and texting on U.S. 60 in Culloden.
Sgt. G.N. Losh says troopers also issued 67 warnings during Tuesday's saturation patrol.
He says four people were found to be driving on suspended licenses.
Troopers discovered a small amount of marijuana and heroin during one traffic stop.
Complaints about speeding and texting drivers prompted the saturation patrol. "This warmer weather, people tend to get out a little more and we just want to make sure they are paying attention to their speed and the texting and the cell phones continue to be a problem, so we're out here again," Sgt. Losh said.
