BARBOURSVILLE, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Two women are behind bars facing drug and child endangerment charges.
Barboursville Police say they received a tip Sunday about possible drug activity at a shelter at Barboursville Park.
When they got on scene, they found Monica M. Frazier, 44, of Huntington, backing out of a parking spot.
The officer stopped Frazier and checked her license, which they found had been suspended for DUI in 2007.
Danielle Jaylean Rose, 28, of Huntington, was in the passenger seat of the car.
When police searched the car, they found a needle and crushed pop can with heroin on it in the glove compartment.
When Frazier was taken into custody, she told police she also placed a needle in the backseat of the officer's patrol car.
Rose was also taken into custody after police say she had hydrocodone and alprazolam pills on her, as well as heroin.
Both were charged with possession.
They were also charged with child neglect creating risk of injury. Police say there were three small children in the backseat of the vehicle. They say none were in seat belts or approved safety seats, and the vehicle was moving when the stop was made.
