Alcohol Blamed for Crash that Killed Two in Jackson County, W.Va.

JACKSON COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Two people are dead after a truck crash in Jackson County, West Virginia.

West Virginia State Police say Brian Hunt, 47, of Sandyville, was driving along County Road 56 near Green Hills Country Club Tuesday about 10:30 p.m.

He lost control of his truck and hit a tree.

John E. Little, 59, of Gandeeville, was a passenger in the truck. He was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

Another passenger, Wanda F. Simmons, 54, of Leroy, died from her injuries Wednesday at a Charleston hospital.

Troopers say alcohol and speed played a role in the crash.

Charges may be filed in the case.
