HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A woman has admitted to stealing $150,000 from a government-subsidized apartment complex.

Federal prosecutors said Connie Whitley pleaded guilty on Monday to an embezzlement charge.

Whitley managed the Uptowner Inn's public housing apartments in Huntington.

Between 2009 and 2013, Whitley wrote checks to herself from the apartments' HUD accounts.

She faces up to 10 years in prison when she is sentenced in July.
