WITTENSVILLE, Ky. (WSAZ) -- A mother and her 4-year-old son had to evacuate their apartment early Saturday morning. They were just one of three families who got an early morning wake-up call when a fire spread through the building.

WSAZ.com photographer Hannah Francis talked with the mother who had just moved into the apartment May first. She and her neighbors say they lost everything in the fire.

No one was injured in the fire. It started around 5:30 a.m.

Investigators are still on the scene because there was also a fire at another apartment in the same neighborhood. No word yet on what caused both fires.

Crews tell WSAZ.com that a telephone poll and wires also caught fire so neighbors may not have cable, internet or phone service until Sunday morning when the lines get fixed.

I am a parent of one of the fire victims, as well as close family to some the others, from the fire that happened on May 10, 2008 in Wittensville,Ky. We ask if could be phone numbers given, for anyone who would like to donate items to help these people in need. I was then told to call 1-304-523-5333 to give the phone numbers, I tried several times, and got no answer. I also tried 2 other numbers and got no answer there either.I guess were left to rebuild on our own. Thank You
