ASHLAND, Ky. (WSAZ) -- One woman from our region got a special Mother's Day gift: she gave birth to a baby boy.

Wendy Conklin gave birth to her first child just after 7 Sunday morning.
She told us she was shocked when she went into labor Saturday night at King's Daughter's Medical center in Ashland. She wasn't due for a couple more weeks.

Wendy named her baby boy, Aiden. Mom and baby are both doing fine.

I am a Mothers Day baby also. My mother is no longer with us but I know that I was the best Mothers Day present she ever recieved.
