FLOYD COUNTY, Ky. (WSAZ) -- A man charged with murder after a deadly car crash in Floyd County two weeks was in court Monday.

According to police, Jonathan Pente told detectives he had been drinking with a friend. Police said Pente had a blood alcohol level more than twice the legal limit when he crossed the center line on U.S. 23 in Harold and crashed into a van, killing Loretta Elswick. They say he also had drugs in his system.

The case was bound over to the grand jury. Pente is being held on $500,000 bond.
