LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) - Federal prosecutors say the owners of a Pikeville medical supply business have been sentenced for taking kickbacks from a pharmaceutical mail-order company to which they steered patients.

The Lexington Herald-Leader reported 60-year-old Carolyn Sue Davis and 76-year-old Otis Davis were sentenced to two years' supervised release.

A statement from U.S. District Court in Louisville said the sentences were imposed July 1 upon the operators of J&J Medical Inc.

The eight months given Carolyn Davis is to be served concurrently with a five-year term for a fraud conviction in a 2005 case.

Otis Davis was released last fall on his conviction in the same fraud case.

DeWayne Logan of Peebles, Ohio - operator and part owner of Life Medical- was also given six months' home incarceration.
