Publishers Clearing House Prize Patrol Surprises Russell Man
A man from eastern Kentucky got a knock on the door and suddenly became $10,000 richer.

RUSSELL, Ky. (WSAZ) -- A man from eastern Kentucky got a knock on the door and suddenly became $10,000 richer.
Wednesday afternoon, the Publishers Clearing House Prize Patrol surprised a man from Russell, Ky. with the big check.
It took a few knocks on the door before Jack Layne answered. The Prize Patrol actually had to wake him up.
Layne works overnight as a security guard and sleeps during the day.
And what is he going to do with the money? The very sleepy winner said pay some bills and taxes.

our son has been out on his own for 4 yrs and would like to buy a house but it is really rough right now economically. and we would love to help him with a down payment if we had it. and to win pch would be a dream come true just to help him out would be nice!!!!!!
I have been playing PCH for over 20 years I have never won anything. Before it didn't matter but now I realy wish I would win. It would let me get my grandchildren out of the bad house they live in and it would mak my daughter smile agin. I don't want it for me I want it for them I want them to have abetter life. My daughter is trying but these days it is hard and with 4 kids it is even harder. I know I won't win but at least I can dream and keep trying to help her as much as I can. Who ever wins congradulations and don't let the money let you forget your self and don't let it run your life.Remeber it is only money it is not happiness and family or friends. Don't let it change you or who you where before you won. I know that if I won I would still be the same I don't need fancy things to make me happy I just need a happy and healthy family and friends. The only thing that will change is then I would beable to give mu grandkids a better life.
I waited all day for them to come to my house. I'm not playing anymore.
