Boil Water Advisory Issued for Cannonsburg Water District Customers
The Cannonsburg Water District has issued a boil water advisory Wednesday night for several customers, according to a news release from the agency.

CANNONSBURG, Ky. (WSAZ) -- The Cannonsburg Water District has issued a boil water advisory Wednesday night for several customers, according to a news release from the agency.
It is effective in the areas of Straight Creek, State Route 5, Brush Creek and East Park because of low water tanks in the city of Ashland.

Why are the Ashland water tanks low? I'm surprised there was even a press release they never notify people until after there's a problem. one time there was a line break in my area I got a letter in my mailbox dated 2 days before it was delivered telling me not to drink the water. But if you are 30 seconds after midnight late on your payment the harassing letter is there the same day.

Just a thought... What is it about this region that lends itself to so many boil water advisories? It seems as if every other time I'm on a local website, there is a story about a boil water advisory. I've lived in other areas and didn't see this so much, but maybe just didn't notice. Is it old infrastructure, cold weather, etc?
