Portsmouth Police need your help in trying to find a missing woman. Amber Howard, who's 21 years old and more than seven months pregnant, literally, vanished eight weeks ago.
Detective Jim Charles says, "My job is to find Amber. The family has entrusted me in finding their daughter and granddaughter and I won't stop until I find her."

"My heart's broken," cries Amber's grandmother, Bonnie Bertram.
"When you go out searching and you're looking at some of these places, hoping you're not going to find her there. Then there's the chance she could be there, that's the hard part" Mrs. Bertram last saw her granddaughter on August 10th. Amber's family is rallying together to have t-shirts and signs made to call attention to her disappearance. They're also working on establishing a reward fund through a local bank.

Amber also has a son, who's almost two years old. Anyone with information is urged to call the Portsmouth Police Department at
740-353-4101.

this is to the portsmouth police and sheriffs department. there is not enough information and media public enough for people to look for. get some media going and pictures circulated. get a forensic psyhic involved. how can anyone have any faith in these departments with no media or not enough of it. nothing has been in the news or papers since October on her.

WSAZ PLEASE UPDATE THIS STORY....WHAT IS BEING DONE TO FIND THIS WOMAN AND HER UNBORN CHILD?????

Posted by: Becky on Oct 9, 2007 at 09:23 PM
I hope that she is found. I think that she needs more coverage though. I have email both WSAZ and channel 10 News along with CNN to try and get her story to go national. Maybe if it does someone will have seen her and will contact the police. May God bless her, her unborn child and her other child and her family. I hope that she and the baby are found safe.

I wish there were more news on this. An update would be nice. Where was she last seen? Are there any leads? I'll be keeping her and her family in my prayers.
