COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSAZ)-- Reports say The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has approved air and waste water permits for a purposed steel plant in Scioto County, Ohio.
A Russian company, New Steel International could possibly build the $1 billion plant between Franklin Furnace and Haverhill.
If built, the plant could eventually employ some 1000 people.
New Steel International conducted two public meetings since March regarding the permits.
Reports say the Ohio EPA approved the permits on Tuesday
