Scioto County, Ohio (WSAZ) -- A woman died in a head on crash in Southern Ohio around 9am Monday.

It happened on State Route 140 near Porter Township in Scioto County. Investigators say a truck driven by Heather Tolbert from Wheelersburg was traveling east when she went off the side of the road, overcorrected and crossed the centerline. Police say Tolbert hit a truck driven by Gregory Blume from Minford.

Tolbert wasn't wearing a seatbelt and was ejected, according to the Ohio Highway Patrol. She was taken to a local hospital where she died.

Heather was my step father's sister, and the memories I have had with her (though they are few) were great ones. She is and always will be missed. As far as the comment about investigating into the accident, well my opinion is that you can do all the investigating you want, but it won't bring Heather back. I work in an emergency room and see accidents all the time that happen even in the safest conditions. Sometimes honestly when it's your time to go it's your time to go. I think that we need to move on from this and remember her with the fondest memories we have of her, and don't hang ourselves up on the "what ifs" because they will drive you crazy. To all her friends and family, my thoughts and prayers are with you all.

It has been a long time since i hace seen Heather. My step father Paul Tolbert and his wife Tammy and the rest of us are really broken up about all of this. Heather was a great person and an even better mother. I still cant believe this has happened to such a great person. To all of her family, most of all her mother Judy, we love you and will always be thinking of you. If you need any thing please call me. I will always think about the kids and every part of our family.

in response to Pablo...I agree that mobile phones "can" cause accidents, but so can eating, drinking, messing with the radio, talking to others. Anything that you do can make you loose focus on the road. It seems that everyone wants to blaime everything on cell phones. What about the good that they cause??? But my thought and prayers goes out to all the family and friends of Heather. Now is not the time to "blaiming" anything or one. Just keep Heather's family (kids) in your prayers.

I am so sorry. I will keep her family in my prayers. What are the ages of her 6 kids? Was she married? If so, the father and those kids are definitely going to need some help. Those who know them, please help them, not only now, but for a long time to come. It gets harder as it goes on. I will pray for them for a long time too. If there is anyway to help, please post on here. Thanks

I'm so sorry for this lady and my thoughts and prayers are with her family, but, I think the police need to check not only for alcohol/drug abuse but whether she was on a mobile phone. Mobile phones and driving are a dangerous combination. I'm not saying this lady was on the phone when the accident happened. I'm just saying the police need to check phone records (easy to do) and see if she was on the phone while driving. Again, my prayers are with the family.

I grew up near my cousin Heather and her brother Paul David when we all lived in the Dayton area many years ago. I'd ran into again recently at our Grandpa's funeral. I wrote down her contact info and intended to get in touch again and catch up on things... I regret that I'll never get that opportunity now. My prayers go out for the welfare of her children...
