PORTSMOUTH, Ohio (WSAZ) -- Sheriff's deputies in Scioto County arrested a Lucasville man following a foot chase.
Sheriff Donini says he received information that 28-year-old Joseph Hagler was staying at a house in Sciotoville. His office had been looking for Hagler in regards to several ongoing drug cases, along with several fleeing charges.
The sheriff says Hagler took off as officers approached the house.
Detectives chased Hagler toward the Ohio River, then along the river bank before he fled into a residential area where he was captured.
Hagler has been charged with probation violation and failure to comply with order of a police officer. Additional charges will be presented to a grand jury.
He is being held in the Scioto County Jail without bond.
