LAWRENCE COUNTY, Ohio (WSAZ) -- An 8-month-old boy drowned Thursday while left unattended in a bathtub at his home along County Road 27 in Elizabeth Township, Lawrence County Sheriff Tim Sexton said.

Shortly after 1 p.m., Izayah Litton was rushed from his home to King's Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Ky., where doctors attempted to revive him for several hours.

The Lawrence County Sheriff's Department does not suspect foul play, but the mother was questioned about the incident. The boy’s body has been sent to Columbus for an autopsy.
