I dated Greg on and off for 8 years. Not a day goes by that I don't think about him. He had a goofy personality and was very intelligent and is missed badly. Thinking of Rob and Katie, his parents and brother.

Greg was one of the kindest, sweetest, most thoughtful men I ever knew. We were friends for almost 20 years. I will surely miss him and his great smile and unique sense of humor. We shared many laughs together. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.

I knew Greg for a short time, but he will have a lasting impact. He was all about service to others, he died the way he lived. I knew Greg at work at the VA Hospital. He was friendly and courteous to others. He often talked about his love for his work as a volunteer. He will be missed. May the Lord Bless him and keep him...

Gregory Allen Northup was a wonderful man with good values. He sacrificed his own safety to be a firefighter and possibly save the life of someone in the community. Greg was a very intelligent, passionate, caring and adventurous individual. He was the kind of man that believed in good old-fashioned values, like opening a car door for a lady. He was always looking ahead with a positive vision of the future. Quite frankly, Gregory was capable of any endeavor. He was successful at any task he attempted. He did truly love being a firefighter and I,too, want to extend my condolences to his family and his commrades in the GFD. He will be missed by many. I love you Greg and I miss you........ Respect those that serve to protect you. Thank you

RIP Brother....No matter how a firefighter dies it is a tragedy. Especially if it is a volunteer since many arent willing to accept the responsibility of protecting and helping others....
