COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - A poll finds that by a 9-point margin, Ohio voters are willing to bet on a southwest Ohio casino that proponents say will create at least 5,000 jobs.

he Columbus Dispatch reports Monday that 50 percent of likely Ohio voters support a ballot measure to allow a $600 million casino resort near Wilmington. Forty-one percent are opposed, and 9 percent are undecided.

The newspaper's poll of nearly 2,300 Ohioans likely to vote was conducted Sept. 24-Oct. 3. The margin of sampling error is plus or minus 2 percentage points.

Developers say the casino project would mean not only jobs but also income for each of Ohio's 88 counties.

But a campaign funded by owners of an Indiana casino argues that the ballot proposal would create a casino monopoly in Ohio.

People: NOW is the time to look around yourselves and finally realize, the United States is a very different place to live these days, and our "globalization" has affected the very thread of our existence. Put away your outdated attitudes and prejudice and be a little more optimistic and accepting of new ideas and different ways! Please stop killing our future with your narrowmindedness! I am very sure if this Issue 6, and candidate for president was your own idea, you'de fight to the bitter end for it. Open your hearts and your minds for a change, and stop thinking out of the other end ! "Proud To Be An American", huh, I wonder about that sometimes!

that's all we need is to have another place for alcoholics to go and get drunk and abuse innocent people. the money wasted on these casinos needs to be used to feed the kids.
