COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - A federal judge has ordered Ohio's top
elections official to verify the identity of newly registered
voters.

A U.S. District Court judge in Columbus ruled Thursday that
Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner must perform verification
required by the Help American Vote Act. That includes matching a
new registrant's information with information in databases
maintained by the Ohio Bureau of Motor Vehicles or the Social
Security Administration.

The order was the result of a lawsuit filed by the Ohio
Republican Party against Brunner, a Democrat.

Brunner also was ordered to establish a process by which Ohio's
88 county election boards can access the information generated by
the checks.

How about they check not only the identity but where the person lives, I recently recieved a registration form in the mail from the Ohio Republican party wanting me to register to vote in Ohio although I live and am registered to vote in Kentucky.

Cindy Mc cain's comment of Barack's vote not to support her son in the military,by voting against the war funding bill, although it would have given Bush a open ended money supply to continue funding the war without a withdraw timetable),made chills run down her spine. She seems to froget that her husband also voted against the troops,when he voted against a bill that would have supported our troops (because it had a withdraw issue) as well the GI bill for Vetrans which Obama supported.Barack and Biden both recieved a B on there votes for Veterans while the Maverick McCain,gets a D check the facts! She should also remember that if it wasn't for Bush and her husband we wouldn't be in that war.Also seniors pay attention,In the second debate Mc Cain hints cuts in social programs (Medicade, Social Security), and finally a campaign, which allows and seems to condone comments from there audience like terrorists ,and kill him, what kind of uniter is that? He is worse than Bush!

Good! There are a lot of allegations of fake voters being added to the rolls in Ohio and elsewhere. Allowing votes that shouldn't be counted is as bad as denying honest voters the right to cast a ballot, because the fake votes cancel out the votes of honest people. In other words, voter fraud makes our legitimate votes meaningless. I'm glad the court wants to verify the integrity of the process.
