Update from 6 p.m. Monday

IRONTON, Ohio (WSAZ) -- A woman hid her car in a garage after a weekend hit and run, according to Ironton police.

Ironton Police Chief Jim Carey said Lori Myers fled after she turned in front of a motorcycle driven by Jerry Kleiber. A Franklin Furnace resident, Kleiber is in serious but stable condition at Cabell Huntington Hospital.

Police said Myers gave herself up after they found her stashed car. She was jailed, charged with leaving the scene and failure to control her vehicle. Police also found an oustanding warrant on a probation violation.

A man is injured for another mistake and we our worried about basking him for not wearing a helmet. He has not been cited for speeding, even if he was, she is the the one at fault. She did not care that Jerry has a daughter. She fled for her child's safety. What about Jerry's daughter,. It has been a week and that little girl has not seen her father. Ms. Meyers should be forced to see the damage that she has caused, then put away for years for simply leaving a man for dead.

If Ms. Meyers was scared for her children then why was one on her lap and not in a car seat?.. May god be with Jerry and his family and we pray for his fast recovery.. For Ms. Meyer I know people make mistakes but anyone with a heart and soul would have stopped and got help. She must not have a heart

In response to Corey's comment, What would Jesus do? Seriously? Jesus would not be on probation with a warrant out for his arrest! He would not have hit a man and just left him to die in the cold street while he thought of only himself and his families needs. He would not hide his vehicle and decide to turn himself in after the evidence was discovered. He would have admitted he made a mistake. He would have helped a man lying in need. The choice she made to leave was unacceptable, maybe the safety of her child was a concern to her but what about the daughter he has? It doesn't make sense that there was a safety issue for her child. Shouldn't she have set an example for her child by doing the right thing and helping someone who could have lost his life from her actions? Where did you get the informtion that he got a speeding ticket? He was not sited in any way for this "accident". As for Ms. Myers it sounds like some things never change, even while on probation. Some people never learn.

this girl was scared for her children because of her probation(warrent)snd yes she should have stopped but she was getting her child to safety!and she did turn herself in.everyone makes mistakes and she is also paying a price for her decision.and don't forget he got speeding ticket.so they both were at fault.and besides i am a nurse also but even uneducated people have common sense to wear a helmet law or not.but being a nurse he new better!so instead of slamming ms myers maybe some of your viewer with comments should ask theirself what would jesus do?cause there comments are a dissappointment to him also.both family's need our prayers.and maybe ohio should get a helmet law .

Why is she ONLY be charged with reckless driving and leaving the scene? Wouldn't failure to report a crime/wreck and some charge for hitting the poor guy be tacked on as well? So sad-she'll probably slide by like how she did with the charges on her before this.

Motorcycles have the right to occupy a space on the highway same as a automobile they pay for the right same as everyone through insurance & tax's. But some cage drivers think the road belongs to them. Get well soon & hopefully this women has good insurance & something of value so you can be reimbursed for all the suffering & loss because of her ignorance.

I hope the motorcyclist heals completely and quickly. I hope the woman who caused this cash and fled the scene gets the most severe punishment. She is the lowest of scum.

People just do not watch for motorcycles. We are here, we have a right to be on the road. Please look twice.
