MARIETTA, Ohio (WSAZ) -- Democratic vice presidential candidate Joe Biden campaigned Tuesday evening in southeastern Ohio and will continue Wednesday in Athens.

He was at Armory Square in Marietta for a campaign rally Tuesday night.

On Wednesday, Senator Biden will start his day in Athens with a community gathering at 280 W. Union St. The doors to the event open at 8:30 a.m., and the event is scheduled to begin at 10:30 a.m. The event is open to the public.

The Socialist Agenda being spewed by the Obama camp is concerning. McCain is more liberal than JFK ever dreamed of...however, he scares me less than Obama. Choosing Palin was genius for the McCain camp, however I feel that McCain's biggest enemy is Bush. We should all be afraid of the Socialist Agenda. Socialism DOES NOT work. Ask a Canadian or a Brit how they like their "socialized, free" health care. Our founding fathers were the furthest thing from Socialistic.

All this rhetoric can be proven wrong, but you're not interested in facts...only what the media tells you. One more time for the slower ones. The Dems., Barney Franks,Chris Dobbs and yes, OBAMA are at the root of the economic problems with housing. It is a matter of FACT. How can someone partially responsible for the problem be relied on to fix it. Those who point at Bush for this have bought into the liberal media spin, hook, line and sinker. LOOK IT UP! Next, Universal health care without MAJOR tax hikes is IMPOSSIBLE. Where else do you think the money's coming from? Next, although he is NOT a muslim, the characters he has surrounded himself by throughout his career should make you SERIOUSLY question at least his judgement if not his allegiance. He voted 3 times to let babies born during a failed abortion lay on a table and die while denying them medical help. FACT! He voted twice for all shotguns larger than a 410 to be considered assault weapons and it be a FELONY to OWN one. FACT! The conservatives keep siting his record and the libs keep calling them stupid, or racist, or rednecks.

The rally in Athens Ohio with Senator Biden, Senator Brown and Governor Strickland was incredible. They were all on point, clear and talked about serious issues. Not who you were on a school board with 15 years ago. Just watch out for the Obama ground team they are really rough. I held up a sign (did not know that you were not allowed to have signs, walked through the check with it) that said "Bush and Cheney deserve fair trials". Did not hold it up until after their addresses and they were shaking hands. Two of Obama's team (two young women) basically attacked me grabbing my arms (I am 57) and ripped the sign out of my hands. No could you please put the sign down no anything. I have been involved with campaigns since 68 I have never witnessed any campaign team memebers do anything like this. They were aggressive and really kind of violent. The Obama team should get rid of these two girls...not good representation for Obama

i can't vote for obama and i'm honest and a life long calhoun county democrat. and yes race is a big issue for my whole democratic family. the democrats in my family are around 40 and they are either writting in hillary or holding there nose for mccain, but nobama here in the davis household, no obama not one. and im an honest christian democratic man who loves america and the democratic party. i wish we could just ask mccain and obama to just let bill clinton fix the mess this bush idiot caused let clinton fix it in 2 years then flip a coin for the other 2 clowns for the last 2 years of there term. I'm glad I don't live in WV. MOST of these comments sound very ethnocentric and reflect generations of ignorance. McCain is a very honorable man but the only way he can win is if he lusts to see blood. Not with facts or a clear head that is respectable. The Conservative and Republicans viewers only want to see blood, lies, and a distortion of the facts. When it gets to reallity they get scared. Obama is no more of a Muslim than McCain. And sir we can't even fight our way out of the paper bag called Iraq. If your soo worried about fighting for freedom then you would realize that we have been slowly allowing it to be taken away here. Billions of$$$ goes un taxed to war and greedy corporations and yet our childrens public education is sidelined by only being funded by property taxes. That means the Republican Administration has drained the well beings of our middle and lower classes and cut our children out of a proper education and we watched it happen. I guess Biden as well as Obama are afraid to really see "Southeastern" Ohio...thank God Sarah Palin had the common decency to visit such a small town as Gallipolis. Never in a million years would Obama/Biden get my vote. When it's all said and done we'll be paying homage to a great hero "McCain"..I'd like to know how many of the lamebrains on here actually know what it's like to "fight" for someones freedom...I for one am thankful..Obama couldn't fight his way out of a paperbag..and Biden well watch him long enough and it speaks for himself..I loved the tear he tried to drop and the debate and then immediately walks over to the little woman all cheery again..gets over it quick.
