Funerals this Week for Three Teens Killed in Athens County Crash

ALBANY, Ohio (WSAZ) -- Funeral services are set for Monday and Tuesday for three Alexander High School students who died in a single vehicle accident last last week.
It happened Thursday afternoon on County Road 14 in Athens County.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol says the vehicle went off the road northbound on CR 14 shortly before 4 p.m. and hit a tree. All three teens were pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the car, 16-year-old Adam Jolley, 17-year-old Adam Fitzgerald and 17-year-old Christopher (Nathan) Coe all died in the crash, according to OSHP. Police say two of the three boys were wearing seat belts.
The Athens Post of the OHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
FUNERAL INFORMATION
- Nathan Coe: Services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Christ Community Wesleyan Church, with Pastor Del Dodrill officiating. Burial will be in School Lot Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday 2-8 p.m. at Christ Community Wesleyan Church.
- Adam Jolley: Funeral service will be conducted Monday 10:00 a.m. at the Nelsonville Wesleyan Church, Chestnut St., Nelsonville, with Pastor Mike Thomas and Pastor Andy Stine officiating. Burial will be in New Marshfield Cemetery. Friends may call Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Jagers & Sons Funeral Home, Athens
- Adam Fitzgerald: Services will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at Christ Community Wesleyan Church with Pastor Del Dodrill officiating. Burial will be in School Lot Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday 2-8 p.m. at Christ Community Wesleyan Church.

The wreak was shocking. As a teenager, I was just like these boys. I knew if could happen, but then again I thought it would never happen to me. I didn't know any of them personally, but Adam J was at the DMV with his sister the same time my son was getting his licence. He seemed like a decent young man. I told my kids if they are ever in this situation to get out and give us a call -- no questions asked. I would rather have them alive than the alternative. To the families of the 3 young men, I can't express how sorry I sm for your loss. If there is anything you can consider "good" that has come out of this tragity, it's caused a lot of classmates and parents to think and re-enforce good driving skills. Maybe a few lives will be saved because of this. But I in no way mean to lessen what has you are going through. I'm so sorry this had to happen at such a high cost. My heart and prayers go out to you.

First to the friends & family, My heart goes out to you during this time of tragedy and loss. I drive by the memorial everyday and as I do I will always say a short prayer. Katrina, I thought what you wrote was wonderful and I am sorry for your loss. To D and others alike, NO ONE is to blame..accidents happen. The road they were on often gets littered with gravel, I myself (having almost 20 yrs experience over Jolly) have been caught in the gavel of that same stretch and pulled off the road at speeds slower than the speed limit. It's just simply a bad strech of road. If you can't say anything nice, do us all a favor and say nothing at all for now. This site is not to be used for juvenile pettiness. It is to memorialize the poor young men and send love out to their friends and family. To WSAZ, I think comments made in such mannor should be deleted, there is already enough pain and sorrow for these boys, we do not need such childish actions taking away from the love shown here.
