Traffic Stop Leads to Six Arrests
Police arrested six people on drug charges during a traffic stop on U.S. 23 in Portsmouth.

PORTSMOUTH, Ohio (WSAZ) -- Police arrested six people on drug charges during a traffic stop on U.S. 23 in Portsmouth.

The Scioto County Sheriff’s Office says the arrests happened around 9 p.m. on Friday. Investigators say inside the car, officers found several chemicals and materials used in the process of making meth.

Those arrested are: 48-year-old Anthony Blevins of Lucasville, 46-year-old Alonzo Blevins of Lucasville, 19-year-old Billy Stapleton of Lucasville, 28-year-old Jason Craft of Portsmouth, 31-year-old Beth Vest of Beaver, and 23-year-old Jillian Newman of Portsmouth.

All were charged with Possession of Chemical to Manufacture Methamphetamines and are being held on a $10,000 bond each. They are in the Scioto County Jail.

The Scioto County Sheriff’s Office is continuing the investigation and asks that anyone with information about the case to contact Detective Matt Spencer at (740) 351-1099. All calls will be kept confidential.

how can you guys sit here and condone what this man jason did?? he was arrested with chemicals to make meth, the cops found property of Ms.Alloways on him??? Was he planning to kill Ms.Alloway that night??? and possibly by the grace of God it was delayed by the police busting these idiots, it blows my mind to think that these people are not being investigated. "yeah" go jason your the greatest, you a drug making idiot, who had a missing girls property on you, lets give you the key to the city!! K.A.R.M.A
