Firefighter Training to Close Street in Nelsonville
The training sessions will take place at a house in the 600 block of Pleasantview Avenue.

NELSONVILLE, Ohio (WSAZ) -- Firefighter training will close a street in Nelsonville, Ohio, the next two Saturdays.

The training sessions will take place at a house in the 600 block of Pleasantview Avenue.

As a result, Pleaseantview will be closed between Diamond Street and Woodlane Drive between the hours of 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. this Saturday, January 30, and next Saturday, February 6.

Firefighters will be getting hands on training in various techniques including search and rescue, forcible entry, ventilation and putting out fires.

Firefighter training is common place in Vinton Co. Ohio. Held annually esp. if an old building is availabel for practice / training.

WOW..... Firefigher training? Thats unheard of here in Charleston. All we can do is specialty training that we never complete. But who cares we have nice Class A funeral uniforms, and all of our day shifters have nice take home cars. Shout out to Nelsonville.... Keep up the strong work. V4L
