UPDATE @ 7:14pm
DANVILLE, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Troopers say a driver who was speeding and driving recklessly caused a fatal accident on Route 119 in Boone County Thursday.
The crash happened at about 12:30 p.m. in the southbound lanes of Corridor G near the Lick Creek exit.
Sergeant Lafauci with the West Virginia State Police tells WSAZ.com that 26-year-old Billy Edwards of Milton was headed south when he "forcibly" hit another pickup truck driven by 67-year-old Earl Little of Wilkinson. Little was also headed south, but at a much slower rate.
Lafauci says Little's truck continued forward about 1/4 of a mile after the impact point, crossed the median into the northbound lanes and hit the guardrail head-on, causing it to flip over. Little was thrown from his truck and died at the scene.
Edwards had minor injuries, according to Lafauci.
Witnesses told investigators that they saw Edwards speeding and making abrupt lane changes prior to the crash.
Edwards was arrested and charged with negligent homicide, reckless driving and failure to maintain control. He was arraigned before a Boone County magistrate and posted bond.
Troopers are still investigating the accident and are waiting for test results from the lab.
