CHARLESTON, W.Va., (WSAZ) -- A spiritual adviser for the United States Senate spent Saturday traveling across our area.

United States Senate Chaplain Barry Black attended church in Charleston and Huntington.

He went to Bible studies at two different Seventh Day Adventist Churches.

Black is a good friend of West Virginia Senator Robert C. Byrd. He gave the eulogy at Erma Byrd's funeral.

Black said, "Senator Byrd is a dear friend of mine. He's one of my best friends in the Senate in fact."

From Passover to Ramadan and Christmas to weddings, if there is something to celebrate or a soul to heal, Black is there.
