KENOVA, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Officers in two states are searching for a man who escaped out of a window in a police cruiser.
Cpl. Johnson with the Wayne County Sheriff's Department says deputies are looking for Marcle Jenkins.
He escaped from a police crusier Sunday afternoon in the Kenova area.
He was in custody after he was arrested earlier Saturday on charges of having stolen property.
Deputies say he burglarized two homes in the Grandview Drive area of Kenova.
Jenkins is also on probation out of Kentucky on other charges.
He's been on the run since around 3 p.m. Sunday.
Cpl. Johnson says Jenkins got out through a back window of a cruiser. The windows are designed not to roll down; however, there was some type of malfunction.
Jenkins was last seen under the Interstate 64 Bridge on Big Sandy Road where he escaped out of the car.
Police say they found tracks showing him going in the general direction of Dreamland Pool.
There is easy access across the river into Kentucky, so authorities there are also on the lookout.
