NITRO, W.Va. (WSAZ)--- It's been about a year since voters gave the go-ahead for table games, with the promise of a new hotel and convention center.

After several lengthy delays, Tri-State Race Track and Gaming Center plans to deal out its first hand of poker in about two weeks.

Charleston Area Alliance members had the chance to see the new setup Thursday night.

The two poker rooms are in place, but they're still working on the final touches.

The poker tables will open up first on August 21st, then in mid-September, roulette and blackjack tables will open.

Construction of a new hotel is scheduled to begin in March and open for business in about 18 months.

The convention center will come after that.

Hey folks, listen to what this guy is saying........"we started poker tables first to get revenue flowing." In other words, get the idiots in here to play so they can pay for the hotel and convention center. The money will go in the pockets of the managers and owners and there won't be enough to build. Then guess what? You, the taxpayer, will be providing money to build through "economic development" and also paying for the food stamps and welfare for the people who provided the "revenue." Guess what? I AM NOT A CHRISTIAN, so don't even go there!! Enough said!!

Hope people will go, but sure will not be me. They allow you to enjoy your freedoms in Wheeling and Chester. Good Luck Tri-State.
