CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A man from London is accused of beating and physically assaulting his ex-girlfriend.

It happened Sunday night at the suspect's home.

Kanawha County Sheriff's Deputies say they were called to Montgomery General Hospital around 1:00 a.m. Monday because a patient appeared to have been beaten and assaulted.

Deputies say the woman has significant face and neck injuries, including two black eyes.

The 39-year-old victim from Smithers told investigators her ex-boyfriend, Ralph James Keffer, beat her at his residence.

Keffer now faces malicious wounding charges.

All you petty ment out here make me sick. Apparently Luther and Jerome hit their women too. I don't understand why you would think that it is okay to go to the extreme of putting someone in the hospital to prove a point. My boyfriend used to hit me and then tell me I made him do it. Fortunately I wasn't stupid enough to really believe it.

Women constantly taunt us and the first move we make they call the police. If we try to call the cops we are mad fun of. Luther I can see where you would say that.
