WAYNE COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A house on Barger Hill in Kenova caught fire Saturday morning.
The fire started around 6 a.m. The road to the house was very narrow and only one firetruck can go up the road at a time to carry water.
There was no one home at the time of the fire. The neighbors believe the occupants of the home were gone for the past couple days.

The fire was called in by trhe paper delivery person about 0530. Kenova can only do so much. As a long time resident of Kenova and Barger Hill I can say that many of us have petitoned to get the road widened for just that reason and we get put off. The state has other things to do we are told.

the house was abandoned, and yes there was only one way to get to the house due to the downed live powerlines. And also the house was fully involved in fire before the fire dept. was even called.
