POCA, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Imagine living without computers, airplanes, or cell phones.

That was a reality for Edith Turmball, who celebrated her 106th birthday with all her friends and family in Putnam County Saturday.

Edith said that she is just happy to spend another day with the ones she loves.

“To me, the 106 wasn't exciting,” Edith said. “Now 25 years ago, I might have been real excited about the whole thing."

How wonderful! It thrilled my heart to hear of a Godly woman still serving the Lord. The Bible says to honor your parents that your days may be long on the earth, and from the wonderful comments it is true that you have carried that on down to your children.I hope you have a wonderful, blessed, year. May you continue tolet God use you to make a difference in others lives. God Bless!

this is my great grandmother. To answer the questions from people about vitamins and secrets to live longer..she drinks green tea, has had the same daily regimen for her whole life. She loves God, took care of her family for as long as she physically could, and is still pretty fiesty at 106. She eats vanilla waffers and rice crispie cereal. She cooks with lard, crisco, and butter. She never went on a diet, or worries about what is low fat. She washed her clothes with a wash board, and a machine that was outside. She has worked hard her whole life, and through God's love she has lived this long with her family. Please, continue to lost comments on here. Since she doesn't have a computer, and doesn't even know what they are about, I am going to print off the comments in a couple days and share with her what everyone has said. She will be so grateful to know people from all around are talking about her. She loves the attention. Even though she won't admit it. Thanks-happy bday mom pen!!!

Did you live 106 years? How do you do that? Do you take vitamins? What kind? I want to buy some and take them too. I am 26, and I feel old sometimes. My 7 kids wear me out. My grandma had 12, and she lived a long time, but not as long as you. Happy birthday. I hope you live a lot more. Let me know about your vitamins. I want to buy some so I live long too.
