HUNTNGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A single vehicle crash caused problems for drivers on Interstate-64 in Huntington earlier this morning.

The accident happened about 7:45am Wednesday in the eastbound lanes, just east of the Hal Greer Exit. This is in the area where crews are building a new interstate bridge.

Emergency crews say the driver of a commercial van pulling a trailer lost control and crashed. Both the van and the trailer ended up on its side.

The driver was hauling a piece of construction equipment.

The driver of the van was taken to a local hospital. No word on his condition.

As a recovering speed demon in my younger years, driving the speed limit gets you to your destination (typically) only a few minutes later doing 10 or 15 over the limit. Also, duh, you are less likely to be involved in a wreck, or get a speeding ticket... Hhhpppphhhhh! You say...... try it. Oh yeah, check your gas mileage, too. I think you will see a benefit there, as well!

Sometimes I'm sure they do Pablo, but I bet SPEED causes more of them People act like they're on a racetrack all by themselves and need to slow down AND get off the phones. Slow down and pay attention to what you're doing people!
