Suddenlink Opens 5-state Call Center in W.Va.

PARKERSBURG, W.Va. (AP) - Suddenlink's new $3.5 million call center in Wood County is open for business.
The 18,000-square-feet call center officially opened Tuesday but operations were switched over the weekend from Suddenlink's existing facility in Parkersburg.
The new call center will serve 240,000 cable, Internet and phone customers in a five-state region.
Suddenlink Chairman and CEO Jerry Kent says more than 220 employees will work at the facility when it's fully staffed.
Statewide, Suddenlink employs about 800 workers, or 17 percent of its work force. Kent says the company expects to add 49 jobs in the state in January.
