HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A Huntington woman pleaded guilty to her role in a stolen vehicle ring.
26-year-old Christine “Niki” Hamm entered the plea Monday in U.S. District Court in Huntington.
Prosecutors say Hamm conspired with others to transport stolen vehicles from Cabell and Kanawha Counties to Greenup County, Kentucky, back in August 2007.
The vehicles, valued at more than $107,000, were stolen from R.F Steiners in Huntington and C&O Motors in St. Albans.
Hamm admitted she followed the car thieves from West Virginia to Kentucky where the vehicles were illegally sold. Hamm further admitted she was paid to provide the thieves with transportation back to West Virginia.
The stolen vehicles were later recovered by authorities.
Hamm faces up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine when she is sentenced in April.
Back in December, 23-year-old Kenneth Hamm of Huntington also pleaded guilty to his role in the crime.
Hamm is scheduled to be sentenced in March. He faces up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
J. C. Wooten and David Buzzard have also pleaded guilty to their roles in the crime.
