Business owners got a chance to go inside Ratcliff Place Thursday morning to check the damage as fire investigators combed through the debris searching for clues to what started the blaze.
The second floor of the building caught the brunt of the fire but the rest of the building suffered serious smoke and water damage. One of the offices gutted by the fire was Word House Counseling Center where staff checked through the rubble to try and salvage what they could.
David Clay, who owns the business says he's already had luck finding new office space at the Chase Bank building across the street. He plans to move his staff in as soon as possible.
As of late Thursday night there's still no word on what caused the fire. Investigators say it appears to have started in the attic above the Duffield and Lovejoy Law Firm. That section of roof collapsed during Wednesday night's fire.
