Two Local Veterans to be Honored in Washington, D.C.
Two local veterans who served in World War II are headed to Washington, D.C. to receive a top honor.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Two local veterans who served in World War II are headed to Washington, D.C. to receive a top honor.
Dewey Mann, Nitro, and Kenneth Hess, Alum Creek, are expected to receive the Legion of Honor Badge from the French Embassy later this week.
Mann was part of the 142nd Infantry.
Hess was a member of the 95th Infantry Division. His unit helped liberate France from Nazi, Germany.
Both of the men tell WSAZ.com they are honored to get the award and to be part of a group that made history.
