SISSONVILLE, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- There will soon be a sidewalk connecting all the schools in the Sissonville area together.
The Greater Sissonville Development Council has received a grant for about $125,000 to extend the sidewalks from Sissonville High School to Flinn Elementary School along Route 21.
The grant is part of the "Safe Routes to School" program. It's a federal program that is aimed at encouraging more kids to walk to school.

Wow all that moving power lines and making a mess for a sidewalk ! Lets put in a stop light at call road and a turn lane and then reduce the speed limit in that area, then lets think about a sidewalk ! Half the kids in this area are living to far away to walk or just lazy and want to ride the bus or drive !
