CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ & AP) -- NewsChannel 3 has learned Sen. Hillary Clinton will make a campaign stop at Capital High School in Charleston Wednesday before then traveling to Huntington.
Her campaign has not yet commented on the stop, except to say she will be in Charleston.
The school's principal says it's an honor and privilege to have the Senator visit campus.
Clinton Giles says the town hall meeting will start at 1:00pm. It's expected to last about a hour and a half. He also says juniors and seniors are allowed to attend the meeting, which will be open to the public.
He points out parking will be an issue, but the Clinton camp will provide shuttle services to and from the school.
Clinton's security personnel has spent two days at the school getting ready for the event.
Giles says the school is expecting all the national media outlets to be there.
The Associated Press reports Clinton will also make a campaign stop in Huntington on Wednesday.
U.S. Sen. Barack Obama is scheduled to be in West Virginia on Thursday.
His campaign says he'll stop in Charleston and Beckley, but provided no details. However, sources tell us he'll make a stop at the University of Charleston.
This is the Illinois senator's first trip to the Mountain State since campaigning for the presidential nomination. His last public appearance in West Virginia was at the September 2006 state Democratic Party's Jefferson-Jackson Dinner.
Obama has received the support of at least two high-profile West Virginia Democrats: U.S. Sen. Jay Rockefeller and U.S. Rep. Nick Rahall.
Obama currently holds a 1,603-to-1,497 lead in overall delegates for the Democratic nomination over U.S. Senator Hillary Clinton of New York.
Clinton plans to visit Charleston on Wednesday.
