CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- A field trip to the West Virginia State Capitol turned into a whole lot more when some fourth grade students got to meet a Presidential Hopeful.
Senator Hillary Clinton made a campaign in Charleston Thursday on the same day a class from Jane Lew Elementary was on a field trip.
The students wanted Senator Clinton to stop and talk with them so they sang and sang their West Virginia counties song until they got her attention.
The Senator not only talked with the students, but also posed for a picture with the fourth graders. She told the students she will send each of them a copy of the picture.
The students we talked with say it was "just awesome."
Jane Lew Elementary is near Weston.
