SUTTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Folks in Braxton County were pumped up to see Senator Clinton but that energy wasn't enough to fuel their cars down to Charleston. But former President Bill Clinton was not a bad alternative.

With former President Bill Clinton in Braxton County and his wife campaigning just an hour down the road in Charleston, the chance to see both husband and wife on the same day is a Clinton supporter’s dream.

But for many in Braxton County, the nightmare at the pump put the brakes on those plans.

Former President Clinton hit on more than gas prices at his campaign stop in Sutton. He also spoke about his wife's plans for education, health care and jobs.
