CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - Democrat Barack Obama has attracted
more than double the campaign cash as Republican John McCain among
West Virginians, as the two presumptive presidential nominees gear
up their general election fight.

But the latest Federal Election Commission filings also show
that Hillary Clinton outspent Obama 3-to-1 in the state last month
to run up the score in its May 13 primary.

And Clinton's drubbing of Obama in that primary - she got 67
percent of the vote before conceding the national race earlier this
month - puts Obama's in-state money lead in context.

Exit polling conducted for The Associated Press during the
Democratic primary indicated that little more than a third of
Clinton's supporters would back Obama, who received about 26
percent of the vote, were he the nominee.

I would like for someone to get to the bottom of the question that Lee asks. Is it possible that the AMERICAN FLAG was removed from the tail of his 757? If someone knows the correct story behind this, please come forward with the truth. I am very interested in finding out if he is so in love with himself that he has a symbol of himself there in place of the flag. If this is true, I would think that someone would check into it and let the truth be known. WSAZ, please check this story out and do a story on it.

How true is this anyone wonder why we haven't saw it on the new or is it just a lie. I trust wsaz maybe they will or if they can answer this July 22nd, 2008 at 9:06 am Obama The Patriot - Removes American Flag From His Plane » by Bill Dupray in: Barack Obama, Liberals, Patriots Barack Obama recently finished a $500,000 total overhaul of his 757. And as part of the new design, he decided to remove the American flag from the tail. What American running for President of the United States would remove the symbol of his country? And worse, he replaced the flag with a symbol of himself.

To Maxine: Do you believe the possibility for change resides more in someone who has been in Washington for over 20 years and around Washington since childhood or someone who has been in Washington for less than four years? Do you believe the possibility for change resides more in someone who has been aided in campaigns (especially getting their foot in the door)by their wife's wealthy family or someone who was raised in an apartment by a single mother and grandparents? Do you believe the possibility for economic change resides more in someone who has adopted the previous administration's policies or someone who worked day-to-day with Chicago's inner city poor. All words are not empty. Sometimes words can have meaning and sometimes meaningful things can be put into words.

Manchin must think that people from West Virginia are idiots. He says that he will wait until after the primary to endorse someone, okay so Hillary thrashes Obama, no endorsement. Then he decides that it's best to wait until they are all over with and endorse the winner. I think anyone with an ounce of commone sense can guess that he wanted to endorse Obama from the beginning but didn't have the nerve to. He wanted to make sure that he won before he did it. Well, he may still win come November but as for me and my family, we will not be voting for Manchin. If he wanted to be on the winning team, he should have endorse McCain because Obama will get thrashed again in WV come November. If anyone honestly believes that Obama is change you can believe in they need to remember, those are just words, just words.

Boy !!!!! Larry really has some reasonable ideas about the people who live in this great state. We had better wise up about this election before it is too late. We don't want to make the biggest mistake ever by electing someone that doesn't have the best in mind for all of us. Way to go Larry, you laid it all out on the table. McCain will get my vote all of the way.

Way to go Larry!! The Dems at the National level and the state level are two different things. WV voted Republican the last two elections just as they will this time. Everything the Republican party stands for is what the true West Virginian believes in and just like you said- I vote Democrat because my Daddy was one.

I agree w/Anonymous on Jun 30, 2008 at 01:01 AM McCain does not need $$$ for my Democrat vote. Nobama does not have enough $$$ to get me to vote for him.

Larry, the people that are for pro-life, pro-gun, and pro religion voted for bush and what did we get. The biggest liar and the worst president in history.

Posted by: Gary on Jun 30, 2008 at 11:59 AM
Larry-you sound as if you are a stone cold Republican, rememember Dick Chaney making fun about WV? You want someone like that as your leader? Now you know how Republicans think of natives of WV, look at what Bush did to natives in this state. He downright lied to all of us, McCain will do the same. Dont be so blinded, your parents know what they were doing. So, before criticizing, do your homework. Stop jumping on the hate Democrats bandwagon and make your decision without other peoples imput!!! How about that Larry!!!

Posted by: Larry on Jun 30, 2008 at 09:39 AM
It doesn't matter WV is just sheep to the slaughter in most elections. They say they are Pro-Life but vote Democrat, they say they are Pro-Gun but vote Democrat they say they are for religion but vote Democrat they say they disliked Obama and voted for Hillary in the primary but now they will just vote Democrat regardless of who he really is. Why O Why WV won't you vote the way you claim you live and believe? Its sad to see people vote Democrat because ma and pa always have...wise up WV educate yourself this election!

Woo. With Hillary behind him Obama will go far. He should appoint Hillary the Queen of Dirty Politics and Bill as the Czar of Sanctimonius Marriages.

McCAIN DONT NEED MONEY FOR MY VOTE

Posted by: Madison on Jun 30, 2008 at 12:59 AM
I think it was degrading for Obama and Hillary too, the way they were hugging and kissing in Unity the other day. Just fake looking politics like all of the WV leaders endorcing Obama against the vote of the citizens. It will be McCian for me and my family. If we had a deicent democratic party it would be different. These people are down right embarrasing all the way to and including the governor !

Posted by: jOE on Jun 29, 2008 at 11:53 PM
Not this democrat. I will not vote....

Posted by: Let It Rain McCain. on Jun 29, 2008 at 10:51 PM
I'll have to see that third before I believe it. They also say about 25% will go for McCain. Looked at the numbers from May 13. Even if they only got the votes they got that night, McCain wins by 700 votes. Though the media wants you to think the party is being united, I don't think it is. As for the money that Obama raised, where are the totals? I still think McCain will win come November.
