BARBOURSVILLE, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- He's been out of the spotlight for years, but Friday former West Virginia Governor Arch Moore mad a rare appearance to sign copies of his biography.

It's called "Arch: The life of Governor Arch A Moore Junior" and it's now in paperback. Dozens stood in line as Governor Moore and the author signed copies at Border's Books at the Huntingotn Mall.

WSAZ caught up with Governor Moore and got his opinion on the current political scene in West Virginia. He acknowledges it's a tough time for the GOP.

"West Virginia's greatest problem is the fact that it's a one party state," former Governor Arch Moore said. "The best that you can produce for West Virginia is a strong political party."

The former governor says the book goes into the good times and bad times, including his time in prison after he pleaded guilty to federal charges.

West VA would be in the dark ages if senator Byrd was not in D C. Blast Byrd when you have republican crooks like Moore and Stevens of Alaska Bush AWOL selected president who did not support the troops in Vietnam and still does not support them. John McCain gets a D rating on supporting the Troops today. He votes against about all bills concerning Veterans. John McCain would not have been in a prison in Vietnam if he was bombing and killing women and little children. We were lied into the Vietnam war by a democrat now Bush and Chaney lied us into Iraq. So get your heads out of the sand and look at the whole picture it is time for a change.

Hey Tim - I like that, "Flipping Congress the Byrd." Can I use that one? This year we need to send Marty Gearheart to Congress and Jay to the Senate - Jay Wolfe that is!! It is time to let Jay Rockefeller enjoy his millions in OIL money courtesy of his RICH family.

It's funny how someone can call Governor Moore crooked, yet keep flipping Congress the Byrd decade after decade. Moore has alredy paid for what little he did to hurt us, but the Clansman finds new ways to embarass our State every day.

Arch Moore was one of our better governors, in my judgment. I would much rather have him than the one's we have had for the past number of years. In addition, my good friend, Brad Crouser, did a fine job on the book about Arch.

i wouldn't buy his book!!!! hes a crock, stoled money & used the coal people to get money from them,so he let them have it easy here.he should be a shame of his self & stop trying to get our money now!! i did'nt vote but if i did i wont vote for any of them.

How is Shelly Moore Capito crooked (as you say)? Please provide backing documentation (in the form of citations) to back up what you say? (Yeah, I know you couldn't. Don't worry, most can't.)

Please sign my book as follows: Thank you Henery Paul Kizer and the millions you help me steal from this state opf WV! The sad part of this is that some idiots would vote for him if he was allowed to run again as govenor.

From what I understand, Shelley is just as crooked and yet Wv continues to put her in office. Go figure.

The crook does not need to show his face. He has disgraced WV on many occassions.
