HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- NewsChannel 3 reporter Randy Yohe had a satellite interview Monday afternoon with Democratic vice presidential candidate Joe Biden, asking him questions about his position on coal -- among others.

A statement that Sen. Biden made last month about coal plants raised more than a few concerns in our region.

Biden is scheduled to make campaign stops in Marietta, Ohio, and Athens, Ohio, in the next few days. Biden said he may be making a campaign stop in northern West Virginia soon.

MCCAIN HAS NOT TAKEN A DIME FROM SPECIAL INTEREST UNLIKE THE LIAR OBAMA, WHO TOOK MONEY FROM BIG OIL, DRUG COMPANIES, BIG FREDDIE AND FANNIE MAE AND HAS RAISE MORE DOUGH THAN CLINTON, KERRY ,GORE AND BUSH COMBINED. 700 MILLION LOOK ALL THE HOMES HE COULD OF SAVED INSTEAD OF ATTACKING A MAN THAT WAS IN A POW PRISON FOR 5.5 YEARS GETTING WATERBOARDED, AND HAVING HIS TOE NAILS PLUCKED OUT, AND HIS BEST FRIENDS WERE SHOT TO DEATH IN FRONT OF HIM. WE DON'T HAVE HEROES LIKE MCCAIN THESE DAYS. WE HONOR DRAFT DODGING MEN WITH TWO MUSLIM NAMES HUSSEIN, AND OBAMA. GOD SAVE OUR COUNTRY.

A FEW MORONS IN WVA NOT ALL, WILL SOON FIND OUT THAT JOE IS VERY WEALTHY AND ALWAYS GIVE LITTLE TO THE POOR. JOE'S TAX RETURNS ARE NOT A FLUKE BUT FACT. 2700 TO CHARITY IS A DISGRACE AND IM A LIFE LONG DELEWARE DEMOCRAT I LIVE SOUTH OF THE DOVER TRACK. MOST PEOPLE WHO MAKE COMMENTS ABOUT OBAMA ARE SO FAR UP THE MAINSTREEMS MEDIAS REAR END THEY CAN'T SEE THE TRUTH. ANYONE WHO CAN OUT RAISE GEORGE BUSH IS NOT CHANGE HES LIKE BUSH TIMES 100. OBAMA TAKES MONEY FROM ANY FAT CAT THAT WILL SUPPORT HIS CRONNIE REAR ENDS. THEN YOU GET DUMB KIDS WHO ARE RICH AND STUPID NEVER SERVED IN THE MILITARY TRYING TO TELL VETS LIKE MY SELF AND WAR HEROS LIKE MCCAIN HOW TO RUN THINGS. ITS SAD WHEN A DECORATED WAR HERO POW. PURPLE HEART, SILVER STAR, AND 5.5 YEARS AS A POW TRAILS IN THE POLLS BY A RACIST CLOSET MUSLIM WHO THE MEDIA LOVES AND GIVES A FREE PASS. ITS PEOPLE LIKE JOHN MCCCAIN AND MY GRAND DAD WHO FOUGHT THE NAZIS THAT HAVE GIVEN SO MANY SORRY BUTTS THE RIGHT TO BE SO IGNORANT.

Randy Yohe should have checked his facts before pandering to Biden by referring to the "vicious attacks" against Obama from republicans and Sarah Palin. Obama began his political career in Ayers' living room! They have set on boards together for years with Ayers appointing Obama as director of one of his education organizations! What is vicious is the murder of a San Francisco Policeman by Ayers' terrorist organization the Weathermen when they pipe bombed his police station!!! Or perhaps their attack on our nation's Capital building! Ayers has stated that his group "did not do enough" with their terror attacks. These are FACTS, not "Vicious Attacks". You should have asked Biden about the left's "Vicious Attacks" against Palin or their ads suggesting that McCain is dying! This report is not journalism, it's political bias by a former "news" channel. One we could trust to report the FACTS. That is like losing a good friend.

IF YOU HILL BILLIES FALL FOR THIS BIDEN B.S. THEN I HOPE YOUR STATE ENDS UP LIKE COMMUNIST CUBA, GOVERNMENT CONTROLLED HEALTH CARE, MORE TAXES, MORE TOLL ROADS,UN GODLY HIGH GAS PRICES AND MORE GAS TAXES. MY GOD IVE KNOWN JOE BLOW SINCE THE EARLY 80'S EVERYONE HERE KNOW HES A TIGHT WAD WHO DOSEN'T GIVE TO THE POOR AND HES IN THE POCKETS OF THE FREDDIES AND THE FANNIES AND BIG BANKS. WILMING DELEWARE HAS MORE BANKS PER SQUARE MILE THAN ANY CITY ON PLANET EART. THATS A GUINESS BOOK OF WORLD RECORDS FACT. AT LEAST WE WILL FINALLY GET RID OF SMOKIN JOE. AND WITH A HUGE DEMOCRATIC CONGRESS COMING, UNIVERSAL HEALTH CARE WILL LET ALL THE ILLEAGLES MOP UP THE REMAINING PEACES OF THE GOOD OLD USA. AND IF YOU THINK CANADA'S HELATH CARE IS GREAT, ASK A CANADIAN WHY THEY HAVE THROMN ALL THE LIBERALS OUT OF THERE COUNTRY. WAITING 5 WEEKS TO SEE A DOCTOR, 2 WEEKS TO GET XRAYS BACK, AND 2 MONTHS SOMETIMES FOR LAB WORK. OBAMA AND HIS #1 MOST LIBERAL SENATOR WILL DESTROY THE REMAINS OF THE AMERICAN DRE.

Joe is one of the least wealthiest in the congress your backwards there JOE. As for the coal plants I work in coal and we don't need anymore plants. We can't get enough miners now to supply the ones we have. And besides the money in coal now is in exports as in exports to CHINA thats where alot of our coal is being shipped these days. SO even if we dont build more in the US as I hope my job is safe for years to come and so is the coal industry.

Smokin Joe... Where do you get your information. Senator Joe Biden makes the least amount of money per year than almost all other Senators. I think there is one or two that make less than him. For some reason you republicans don't want to see the truth. The only way this nation will get out of the mess we are in is by strengthening the middle class and helping to bring more people into the middle class. That is what the Obama/Biden ticket means. Shared prosperity. We have to reign in executive pay. There is no way that the top should make 400 times the least paid employee. The last 8 years we have seen failure in all aspects of govt. from tainted toys and food, to increased gas prices, to an ineffective FEMA, to increased health insurance premiums(up at least 30%), not able to negotiate lower payment for drugs for seniors. The list goes on and on and on. It Is Time For Change! It is time for a new kind of leader! TIME FOR OBAMA/BIDEN1

C'mon WSAZ, print the interview, you're as bad as the rest of the liberal media elite

I think Biden has played the nice guy part to long I want to see Democrats who fight back . All the dissinformation the republicans have come up with , its time to fight back . No one remembers that McCain as a young navy pilot was responsible for the deaths of 133 men aboard the U.S.S.Forrestal .McCains A4E skhawk was on the line ready for takeoff , McCain "wet started" his engine a prank designed to scare the pilot behind him with a hugh flame of exploding kerosine .Normally a harmless stunt the flames caused a rocket on the plane behind him to launch rupturing McCains underwing outboard fuel tank .Hundreds of gallons of fuel splashed onto the deck and ignited a blaze , within minutes 2 1000 pound bombs fell from McCains wings into the fire . McCain rolled out of his plane and ran for his life ,the flames cooked off one of the bombs and blew a huge hole through the deck . The Forrestal was destroyed and it was thought McCains father covered up the whole mess .fight back democrats !

Just riding on the coat tails of the new "messiah". Is this really the best America can do for president?

Posted by: Ann on Oct 14, 2008 at 12:39 AM
I am glad we have a least one vice-presidential candidate that knows which newspapers they read. I am a huge Hillary Clinton supporter. I was extremely skeptical of Joe Biden and Barrack Obama, however, I have grown to believe he will be a great for America. Sarah Palin is an embarrassment to women. Please tell the OBAMA campaign, that I believe if he came to the state just once so people could see and hear him OBAMA would win the state. Maybe Biden in northern WV and Obama in southern WV say Beckley or Huntington. Regardless this is the most important election of our time. Please get out and vote.

If the people of West Virginia and Ohio are stupid they would get their information from "Smokin Joe". Who feels it necessary to write in all caps? I encourage people to really research the candidates both nationally and locally go to a non-partisan website, listen to speeches, and read the news. We the people are given a great opportunity to participate in democracy. Get out and exercise your right to vote and educated yourself on the candidates. Voting strictly along party lines has brought about a divided Nation and government that have got us to the point we currently find ourselves. Smokin Joe were do you get your information? Wikipedia and GOP commercials? Intelligent Americans don't be as shallow as Smokin Joe he is probably high.

Is people so nieve to vote for McCain/Palin You know with Bush/ Cheney has ties with the oil industry, McCain/Palin has ties with them to. So we will be put with gas prices keep going up Mark my Words....Bush can say what he wants but he could have stopped the prices from getting so high but did he NO... We are lining his pockets everytime we go to the gas station. They say Hurricanes caused some of the poblems over the summer.
