PUTNAM COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Some problems have been reported at the polls in Putnam County where some early voters claim their Democratic votes are going to the Republicans.

The problems have come with the touch screen ballot voting machines. Putnam County Clerk Brian Wood said he tested the machines, and they're working properly. He said the problems could be user error.

"I am not in the voting booth with the voter, so I can't say there was a mis-press or not," he said.

Voters in Jackson County, W.Va., have made similar complaints about their Democratic votes being switched to the Republicans in several races.
