CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Supporters of Sen. Joe Biden's opponents made sure their voices were heard Friday during Biden's visit.
They met at the Republican headquarters along Hale Street before Biden's speech. There were plenty of signs and a lot of enthusiastic volunteers.
Those gathered said they don't agree with the Obama-Biden ticket on the issues, especially about the importance of the coal industry. Arlie Hubbard, a McCain supporter, said he's retired and spends his free time doing what he can for the party, including going to all the McCain-Palin campaign events he can.
"I make phone calls (and) hold signs," he said. "Voting is crucial."
