CHARLESTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- Supporters of Sen. Joe Biden's opponents made sure their voices were heard Friday during Biden's visit.

They met at the Republican headquarters along Hale Street before Biden's speech. There were plenty of signs and a lot of enthusiastic volunteers.

Those gathered said they don't agree with the Obama-Biden ticket on the issues, especially about the importance of the coal industry. Arlie Hubbard, a McCain supporter, said he's retired and spends his free time doing what he can for the party, including going to all the McCain-Palin campaign events he can.

"I make phone calls (and) hold signs," he said. "Voting is crucial."

You know there is one thing about it. If this Obamo nation, gets into office with a bunch of cronies and takes the hill, then eveyone will be crying. I guess the demos will be ok with bowing down to Obama and Biden and Allah and Byrd, etc. If the demos get into power, it will not be by me. I may consider another party besides Republican but good Lord Help us,,,it will never be the demo irratic party. WooHoo!, McCain Palin all the way! This mamaw has been around long enough to know that the demos are demonic for the most part. Serving themselves and Satin, Allah, budha, wooden idols with big bellies, whatever! I love the Lord Jesus and he is the only way. Not this so called Messiah Obama lunatic! Go on take the mark, pehaps it will look like and Arab like the ACORN emblem depicts. Look it over, a rag head is in that emblem. Acorn is a bunch of nuts that need cracked and the biggest one is Mr. Obama BoomBah. The demos are so pathetic, really!

It is hard to fix a train wreck in 2 years there sweetheart. I believe before that, republicans were in control with there republican idiotic president who isnt worth a 2 cents. And it was your idiot president who falsely led us to a war that we are no spending billions of dollars on, and guess what, still no Bin Laden, no WMD, on thing we have gotten out of this was is over 5000 innocent soldiers killed and higher gas prices. Then it was your president who give the wealthiest in the country the big tax breaks that cost this country billions....NOT THERE IS YOUR CHECKS AND BALANCE!!!! SO I really don't think blaming 2 years of democrats on the hill could be very feasible. It is your idiotic administration of republicans who have royally screwed up this country....McCain will do more of the same...Mr big oil Bushes right hand man....

Oh,no, "JUST SHOW" is showing his ignorance. The stupid demos regained the hill 2 years ago, remember??????O yeah, you would not know that would you; It's called the checks and balance system. With all the checks the demos put on Bush and the republicans, there is not balance! Stick that in you brain and think on it! Go McCain/Palin 08!

Nobody mentions Obama's racist comments like saying His white grandmother was "A typical white person" and in one of His speeches He said "A white mans greed runs a world in need". Or what of Biden's comments about coal killing us and swears that if He and Obama are elected there will be NO NEW COAL POWERPLANTS!" Why are these things never mentioned?

They had to hound in on Biden's event for attention since their candidate hasn't been to see them. Take the media attention anyway you can get it- like Ashley Todd who lied about being attack. You appear so pitiful now. Your candidate knew he was the nominee months before the Democrats had selected one he wasted precious time- waitng on whether or not Senator Kennedy was to be chosen instead taking the party's reign and moving forward from that day forth he just acted like Elmer Fudd- wobbling. And now there are followers acting out of character to support their senator who did not really support them by running sensibly. He had time - lots of it to get a real ground game in place throughout America. Don't you agree?

After listening to Biden. Is he saying W.V. has clean coal and Ohio doesn't?

how big the war monging, money spending republican party will show itself when the opponent is in town. They need to do away with the Greasy Old Politicians who are spending my grandchildrens granchildren futures away before we have a revolution in this country. What a failed society once the GOP took control... Oh lets see their answer will be lets send the citizens some more money so they will spend it with the oil companies so we can get our contributions before oil boy leaves office...

Biden set the record straight on the democratic position on coal. Contrary to what Obama has said recently (how many flip flops has Obama made now?) Obama does not support coal, no matter if it is clean coal or not. Mine Here Mine Now!

Instead of making calls and holding signs, McCain/Palin supporters should read and google to find out the facts. Unless of course you want 4 more years of wars, a bad economy and you are in McCain's $5 million base.

You people that love Palin so much, maybe you should've just voted for Hilary since McCain will probably croak not long after he's in the office (if a mircle were to happen and he was actually elected). Surely you don't want a so-called hockey mom running this country, spending our tax dollars on more of her $150K shopping sprees! Wake up America!
