HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (WSAZ) -- He may be average, but his campaign is not.

Joe Shriner from Cleveland, Ohio, is running for president in 2012 -- as he’s done in the past three presidential elections.

The “Average Joe” candidate, as he calls himself, made a campaign stop in Huntington at Pullman Square Friday afternoon.

Shriner tells WSAZ.com that he’s covered 80,000 miles during his run for president.

He hasn't won yet, but says if he does, it "will be bigger than Sarah Palin and Michael Jackson."

Shriner’s wife and three kids joined him on the campaign stop.

OK. We don't need an 'Average Joe' President. Most every politician that we have these days are just 'Average Joes' who happen to weed their way into an important position. They are nothing but juveniles. We need someone extraordinary, someone who has common sense, in touch with the people, and has the country's best interests at heart - not the world's.
