Governor Manchin Names New Deputy Labor Commissioner
Gov. Joe Manchin has appointed longtime Department of Labor employee John Junkins Jr. as deputy commissioner of the agency.

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) -- Gov. Joe Manchin has appointed longtime Department of Labor employee John Junkins Jr. as deputy commissioner of the agency.
The appointment was announced Monday, though it took effect July 14.
Junkins has been with the agency 28 years, most recently as director of weights and measures. Manchin says that experience will serve the state well.
