Venison Roast

With just a few ingredients found in your kitchen, you can make a delicious venison roast in 2-3 hours.
Ingredients:
  • 3-4 pound venison roast
  • 1 cup red wine
  • 4-6 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1 medium onion chopped
  • 1/2 medium pepper chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic diced
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Directions:
  • Add to 1/2 of the olive oil in a large roaster the garlic, onion and green pepper.
  • Remove the veggies when soft. Brown the flour covered roast in the remaining oil.
  • Add back the veggies and then the rest of the ingredients.
  • Put a lid on the meat and cook it on medium heat for about 2 hours till the meat starts to fall off the bone.
  • Check the water level so it doesn't start to cook dry.
  • Add additional water if needed.
  • Put the potatoes on to boil for mashed potatoes and remove the meat in order to make a great tasting gravy from the drippings.
